Posted on2018-01-24 by

DROPS Eskimo is a soft, thick and easy-to-use wool yarn, single-ply spun from 100% pure wool and is also perfect for felting

TO FELT:
Wash the garment in the washing machine with an enzyme-free, bleach-free detergent. Wash at 60 degrees, with normal spin and without prewash. After washing, fit the garment while it is still wet and bring it to the correct measurements. Let it dry on a flat surface.
For slippers, when they are still wet, wear them to give them the correct shape and size.
For subsequent washes, use the normal wool program..

Instructions for felted moccasin-type slippers

Material:
needles: n.8 - (game of needles n.8)
Wool: DROPS ESKIMO gr. 150/200 (with 150gr. Slippers are made up to n.37)
Stitches: stockinette stitch,
Foot: n. 38/39,

Cast on 30 sts with 8 needles and work in stockinette stitch for 34 rows (approx. 21cm.).
Place the stitches on the 4 rows: 7-8-8-7.
Increase 2 stitches, 1 at the beginning of the first row and 1 at the end of the fourth, this will give you 32 M (8m on each row).
Knit for 25 rounds (total approx. 39 cm).
Decrease the final two stitches of each row 6 times by working them together.
Close the 8 M left by passing the thread with a needle, thus forming the tip of the slipper (total about 42-43cm.).
Sew the back part.
Felt in the washing machine at 60 °, normal program with spin cycle, use normal detergent (NO the one for delicates, NO fabric softener) Get in shape by wearing the slippers still wet to shape and then fill them with paper.
Have fun!
