Accessories, for me, are fundamental and also fun and charming, I make purchases (sometimes compulsive) of point markers of all shapes and types, tachometers, toe covers, etc.
The main accessory of a knitter are obviously the needles and today I want to tell you about my experience with the new Ergonomics della Prym.
They are proposed as a tool for a new era in knitting, made of polished synthetic material, light and easy to handle, also confirmed by the evaluations expressed by professionals in the sector who were enthusiastic about the surprising result.
The first of the novelties of the new Prym ergonomics is the thickened drop-shaped tips (Hook-tips) that facilitate beginners in the execution of the stitch, while speeding up the work of professionals, preventing the yarn from being "skewered" by the tip of the needle, optimize the grip of the links by preventing them from falling, both during processing and when we put away the work
The second peculiarity is summarized with the term (morphing Body) - where we discover that, in the transversal development of the needle, the round section of the first section subsequently passes to a triangular one, this facilitates the flow of the stitches so that knitting is facilitated. without hand effort.
The first round and then triangular shape facilitate the flow of the yarn and very importantly, the work remains very uniform especially in the garter work..
Proceeding in the discovery, the third novelty consists in the head of the straight needles, (Click heads) which was created to go beyond its primary function and the particular shape created allows you to join with a simple gesture the pair of needles both for their repositioning inside the work bag is to block the work in progress between the two needles, avoiding the use of additional accessories such as the stitch holder.
The innovations have also affected the fixed circular needles (not interchangeable), what I consider the accessory of the KNITTER
The cable is in my opinion the real magic of these needles. Once mounted on the needles, it is impossible for the stitches to turn when working in the round.
All this happens because, being coated in a plastic material, the classic "memory effect" is eliminated as happens with other cables and consequently the annoying tangles and giving a unique softness.
Great for working Magic Loop, which I don't love very much, but with this cable, it made me much nicer!!
Another small detail, but very important for me, is the very clear reading of the number of the needle, very well engraved without the possibility that it will disappear with use, as happens in other needles.
Of course, in this Ergonimics Prym line, in addition to the circular needles, there is the "game of needles" that I tried and loved instantly, because the shirts remain perfectly still on the sticks that are not used during processing, eliminating the " nightmare ”of seeing them fall from the iron!
Friends and Knitter friends, for this long winter, I happily recommend this beautiful and fundamental accessory that as far as I'm concerned has entered my list of ... "never again without"!
