Linilk by Laines du Nord is the perfect yarn for those who love to create natural, cool and elegant summer garments.

Linilk is the result of combining linen and silk: a natural, lustrous yarn that blends the coolness of linen with the softness and sheen of silk.

These fine fibres create a lightweight, breathable yarn, perfect for making elegant summer garments that are comfortable to wear even on the hottest days.

Linen provides structure, strength and a pleasant feeling of coolness against the skin, whilst silk adds a delicate sheen and makes the yarn softer and smoother to work with.

Linilk is ideal for both knitting and crochet and particularly enhances openwork stitches, stockinette stitch and lightweight designs. It is perfect for creating summer T-shirts, tops, light cardigans, shawls and garments for spring and summer.

Garments made from this yarn will retain their beauty over time if washed gently, preferably by hand. We recommend using mild detergents and laying the garment flat to dry in order to preserve its shape and the natural quality of the fibres.
