Merino Yak

The Merino Yak yarn by Laines du Nord, entirely Made in Italy, is a precious yarn consisting of certified Mulesing free merino and precious Yak hair very similar to cashmere for its qualities. It is a fiber that is obtained from the yak's hairstyle and therefore its production can be defined as ecological.

During spinning it is twisted with three plies to obtain a medium-thickness and very soft yarn. This variegated composition gives rise to a color chart characterized by dusty colors and mottled with delicate light-dark streaks. Suitable for making any garment, from sweaters, scarves, wide collars, to jackets to hats. The merino wool used is certified Mulesing free.
